Under the new housing program of the present government, the foundation stone for the construction of a new house under the Housing Assistance Program implemented by the National Housing Development Authority in the Galle District was ceremonially laid recently.
On this occasion, the foundation stone was laid for the house of Ms. K.G. Tharushi Imalsha, located in the Aththiligoda South Grama Niladhari Division of the Galle Divisional Secretariat Division.
The housing program has been launched by the National Housing Development Authority with the aim of addressing the housing issues of the poor and low-income earners and thereby reducing poverty. Through this program, each beneficiary is granted Rs. 1 million to build their house.
A number of government officials also participated in this event.
