250 School Equipment Kits Distributed to Schoolchildren in Thambuttegama!
A program to distribute school equipment kits to children from low-income families and those affected by disasters in the Thambuttegama Divisional Secretariat Division was held on the 3rd at the Thambuttegama Pradeshiya Sabha Auditorium, under the patronage of Hon. Dr. Susil Ranasinghe, Minister of Housing, Construction, and Water Supply.
At this event, a total of 250 school children received school equipment kits valued at approximately LKR 7,000 each. This included 142 children from low-income families and 108 children affected by disasters.
The program was organized by the Red Cross Organization, which also provided all the school equipment kits.
