Mr. Aravinda Sirinath, Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA), recently undertook an inspection tour in the Nuwara Eliya District to review the housing projects being carried out there.

Mr. Aravinda Sirinath, Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA), recently undertook an inspection tour in the Nuwara Eliya District to review the housing projects being carried out there.

He first visited the NHDA District Office in Nuwara Eliya to assess its current status and later proceeded to inspect the progress of housing villages being constructed with the assistance of the Government of India.

In the Nuwara Eliya District, 19 housing assistance villages are being built with Indian government aid, comprising a total of 620 houses.

On this day, the Chairman inspected the progress of 11 housing projects under construction in the areas of Labukele, Madakumbura, Radella, Woltrim, Albion, Bagawanthalawa, Shannon, Weli Oya, and Norwood.

During these inspections, the current status of the projects and the issues arising during construction were discussed. The Chairman instructed District Manager Mr. Athula Bandara and other officials to take necessary measures to resolve these problems without delay.
