Under the new housing program of the present government, the National Housing Development Authority recently held a housing assistance cheque

Under the new housing program of the present government, the National Housing Development Authority recently held a housing assistance cheque awarding ceremony for families in the Mullaitivu District who were suffering due to the lack of housing. The event took place at the auditorium of the Mullaitivu District Secretariat.

During the ceremony, housing assistance cheques were presented to six beneficiaries for the construction of six houses. Each beneficiary is entitled to an assistance amount of Rs. 1,000,000, and under the first phase, each beneficiary received a cheque for Rs. 150,000.

The occasion was attended by Mullaitivu District Secretary A. Umamaheswaran, Additional District Secretary S. Gunapalan, Mullaitivu District Manager of the National Housing Development Authority H. P. R. Karunathilaka, and other state officials.
