The house of Mr. Thushara, a resident of Loka Darshana Mawatha, Udagama, Bope in the Padukka Divisional Secretariat Division, was recently ceremonially opened under the “A Place of One’s Own – A Beautiful Life” housing assistance programme.

The event was held under the patronage of Hon. Member of Parliament for the Colombo District and Chairman of the Padukka and Seethawaka Coordinating Committee, Mr. Chandana Sooriyarachchi.

This housing programme is implemented by the National Housing Development Authority, under which a financial grant of LKR 1 million is provided to each beneficiary for the construction of their house.
